Nota biograficzna: | Professor dr hab. Cezary Kulesza- Head of Department of Criminal Procedure of the Faculty of Law, University in Bialystok (Poland), advocate. Between 2010 and 2016 an advisor of the Attorney General of Poland (Member of the Counsel for Victims). He has presented numerous papers at national and international conferences and symposia i.a. at the 16th International Symposium of the World Society of Victimology , Hong Kong, 10-14 June, 2018. He has been visiting professor at Villanowa University (Philadelphia- Fulbright Scholarship), University in Tübingen (Germany), Max Planck Institute for Foreign and International Criminal Law in Freiburg /Br. (Germany), University in Saloniki (Greece) and Las Palmas (Gran Canaria- Spain). Author of more than 190 academic publications on a very wide range of subjects, including criminal procedure, victimology, restorative justice, the role of the defence counsel in criminal proceedings, editor and co-author of the following books in English: “Criminal Plea Bargains in the English and the Polish Administration of Justice Systems in the Context of the Fair Trial Guarantees” (Białystok 2011), “Fairness of the Polish model of criminal appeal proceedings in the context of delivered research” (Bialystok 2019- in print). Author of books (in Polish), including:“The injured person in the Polish criminal proceedings in the light of law and practice of the selected western countries” (Białystok 1995), “The law injuring the entrepreneurs” (Białystok 2004), “Effectiveness of the participation of defence counsel in criminal proceedings in international perspective” (Kraków 2005) and “Defense in economic and tax criminal cases” ( Warsaw 2012) |
