Postawy studentów białostockich uczelni wobec transplantacji. Stan, uwarunkowania,implikacje pedagogiczne

Abstract

Rozprawa doktorska stanowi próbę włączenia się pedagogiki społecznej w interdyscyplinarną dyskusję o poszukiwaniu skutecznego sposobu na kształtowanie postaw społecznych przychylnych zabiegom medycyny transplantacyjnej, jako skutecznej metodzie leczenia i podnoszenia jakości życia ciężko chorych pacjentów. Dysertacja składa się z trzech części. W pierwszej: „Postawy studentów wobec transplantacji. Ujęcie teoretyczne”, starałam się zaprezentować kluczowe dla zrealizowanych badań kategorie pojęciowe. W tej części pracy przedstawiłam także teorie naukowe, które tworzą podstawę teoretyczną zrealizowanych badań. Druga część pracy: „Metodologiczne podstawy badań” to opis przyjętej autorskiej koncepcji metodologicznej, ukierunkowanej na rozpoznanie poziomu postaw (komponentów: poznawczego, uczuciowo-metodologicznego i behawioralnego) studentów wobec transplantacji oraz ich uwarunkowań. „Postawy studentów białostockich uczelni wobec transplantacji w świetle przeprowadzonych badań własnych” to trzecia część rozprawy. Ta część pracy zawiera analizę i interpretację materiału empirycznego zgromadzonego w toku prowadzonych badań. W rozdziale szóstym prezentuję wnioski płynące z przeprowadzonych przeze mnie badań. Wyjaśniam także ich uwarunkowania, a przede wszystkim przedstawiam wskazania dla edukacji zdrowotnej, które mogą być pomocne w propagowaniu tej metody leczenia i podnoszenia jakości życia ciężko chorych ludzi.

The present dissertation is focused on the attitudes of university students from Bialystok towards transplantation. Its aim is to incorporate social pedagogy into the interdisciplinary discussion regarding the search for an effective method of shaping social attitudes favorable to medical transplantation procedures, as an effective method of treating and raising the quality of life of seriously ill patients. The dissertation consists of three parts. In the first part, titled “Attitudes of students towards transplantation. A theoretical approach”, I presented the theoretical and conceptual framework of my study. The second part of the dissertation, titled “Research methodology”, present an overwiev of research design aimed at exploring students’ attitudes (components: cognitive, emotional and behavioral) towards transplantation and the factors influencing these attitudes. The research findings obtained in this study are presented is the third part of the dissertation. This part of the dissertation contains an analysis and interpretation of the research findings, using qualitative and quantitative methods. In the sixth section, I present the conclusions drawn from the study. I conducted concerning the state of attitudes of students at universities in Białystok towards transplantation. I also explain the factors influencing these attitudes, and present recommendations for health education that may be helpful in promoting this method of treatment and raising the quality of life of patients.
