| dc.description.abstract | Bankruptcy and bankruptcy proceedings are an inherent phenomenon in the market economy, whose scope, size, dynamism, and intensity alter with the changes in the closer and further business environment, as well as in the global economy. The aim of this article is to analyze the phenomenon of the bankruptcy of enterprises in Poland in the years 2008-2015. In the paper, the formulated hypothesis suggests that in practice, contrary to the assumptions of insolvency proceedings, the bankruptcy and liquidation aspects dominated the remedial aspects, which were marginalized, and which resulted in the phenomenon of bankruptcy in the Polish economy in 2008-2015 being an unpredictable process and beyond the actual control of those interested the most: i.e. the insolvent entrepreneur and his creditors. The methods used are descriptive analysis, literature analysis of the subject matter, analysis of legal regulations concerning the functioning of bankruptcy in Poland and analysis of statistics on the bankruptcy of enterprises in Poland in the years 2008-2015. | pl |
