Женский субъект и концепция женской субъективности на примере произведений Н. Берберовой и Н. Тэффи

Abstract

The following article is devoted to the reflections of female subjectivity in the works of N. Berberova and N. Teffi – the most prominent emigrants of the younger generation. The most popular novels of Berberova and short novels written by N. Teffi have constitute the subject-matter of the research. Berberova in her writing presents the whole cross section of female characters ranging from strong, independent, calm, dominant personalities in the society to weak, undetermined and introverted individuals. As a result it can be stated that the issue concerning realization of the female subjectivity and its importance plays a vital role in the society and culture. As opposed to Berberova, Teffi neither pays her attention only to the female characters nor idealizes them. Furthermore, Teffi does not try to take her female characters the nature of ‘otherness’ and ‘inferiority’, she simply shows them as they are in reality.
