Scope and definition of the budget law of the European Union

Abstract

The terms budget (budgetary) law of the EU or EU budget law are not used too often by representatives of the European science. Their scope depends on the forms of coordination of the EU economic policy. On the one hand budget law of the EU encompasses provisions on own financial economics of the EU (referring to own annual budget and financial – budgetary planning), on the other hand – provisions directed to Member States only, which concerning the issue of coordination budgetary (fiscal) policy. Author analyses complexity of the structure of the EU budget law, provisions which belong to it and try to compose definition of that term.
