Transfer technologii a aktywność innowacyjna przedsiębiorstw województwa podlaskiego

Abstract

Głównym celem rozprawy była ocena wpływu transferu technologii na aktywność innowacyjną przedsiębiorstw województwa podlaskiego. Celami szczegółowymi rozprawy doktorskiej była: 1) analiza uwarunkowań transferu technologii w województwie podlaskim, 2) ocena poziomu innowacyjności przedsiębiorstw, 3) analiza źródeł innowacyjności, 4) analiza wpływu wewnętrznego i zewnętrznego transferu technologii na poziom innowacyjności przedsiębiorstw, 5) analiza czynników wpływających na efektywność transferu technologii. Wszystkie cele analizowane były w odniesieniu do województwa podlaskiego w latach 2007-2013. Rozprawa doktorska ma charakter teoretyczno-empiryczny. Dysertacja składa się z pięciu rozdziałów. W rozdziale pierwszym przedstawiono wybrane aspekty teoretyczne dotyczące transferu technologii i jego roli w procesach innowacyjnych. Uwzględniono istotę innowacji, procesu innowacyjnego oraz transferu technologii. Usystematyzowana wiedza pozwoliła w dalszej części pracy formułować własne wnioski. W rozdziale drugim przeanalizowano literaturę w zakresie transferu technologii. Omówiono najważniejsze modele transferu technologii, jego typologię oraz źródła. Wskazano na ogólne uwarunkowania transferu technologii. Omówiono zagadnienia funkcjonowania transferu technologii w najnowszych modelach innowacji, co pozwoliło na wielopłaszczyznowe postrzeganie problematyki transferu technologii. W rozdziale trzecim skoncentrowano się wokół aktywności innowacyjnej przedsiębiorstw województw podlaskiego oraz uwarunkowań transferu technologii w województwie podlaskim. Analizie poddano poziom innowacyjności i wynalazczości przedsiębiorstw województwa podlaskiego. Przygotowany w toku rozprawy materiał pozwolił na dokonanie jakościowej i ilościowej analizy uwarunkowań transferu technologii. To z kolei wpłynęło na opracowanie efektywnych modelów transferu technologii, które mogą być wykorzystywane w województwie podlaskim. W rozdziale czwartym scharakteryzowano wdrażane innowacje w badanych firmach województwa podlaskiego sklasyfikowane ze względu na źródło ich pochodzenia. Omówiono także klasyfikację innowacji badanych przedsiębiorstw powstałych w efekcie transferu technologii i sposoby transferu technologii oraz ich wpływ na działalność innowacyjną badanych firm. W rozdziale piątym zaprezentowano czynniki instytucjonalne transferu technologii i ich rolę w działalności innowacyjnej przedsiębiorstw. Przeanalizowano źródła, modele oraz kanały w zakresie wdrażanych technologii w badanych przedsiębiorstwach województwa podlaskiego. Omówiono także czynniki efektywności procesu wewnętrznego i zewnętrznego procesu transferu technologii oraz zanalizowano wpływ wewnętrznego transferu technologii na potencjał innowacyjny przedsiębiorstw, a wpływ zewnętrznego transfer technologii na możliwości tworzenia innowacji. W rozdziale tym przedstawiono również bariery transferu technologii głównych podmiotów uczestniczących w procesie transferu technologii takich, jak przedsiębiorstwa, jednostki badawczo-rozwojowe, jednostki państwowe. Celem prowadzonych analiz i badań było wskazanie sposobów niwelowania barier transferu technologii oraz potencjalnych kierunków zmian działalności w jednostkach uczestniczących w transferze technologii. Przeprowadzona analiza umożliwiła na pozytywną weryfikację głównej hipotezy badawczej stwierdzającej, że transfer technologii wpływa na aktywność innowacyjną przedsiębiorstw województwa podlaskiego. Rezultatem jest również uszczegółowienie zagadnienia wpływu transferu technologii na różne obszary aktywności innowacyjnej przedsiębiorstw województw podlaskiego.

The main purpose of the doctoral dissertation was to assess the influence of technology transfer on the innovative activity of enterprises operating in Podlaskie Voivodeship. The specific aims of the thesis were: 1) to examine the determinants of technology transfer in Podlaskie, 2) to gauge the level of innovativeness in firms, 3) to analyse the sources of innovation, 4) to analyse the influence of internal and external technology transfer on the innovativeness of companies, 5) to analyse the factors that impact the efficiency of technology transfer. All the analyses concern Podlaskie Voivodeships in the years 2007-2013. The dissertation has a theoretical and empirical character and consists of five chapters. The first chapter discusses selected aspects of technology transfer and its role in innovation processes. Account is taken of the nature of innovation, innovation processes and technology transfer. Such structuring of relevant knowledge allows the author to formulate her own conclusions in the subsequent sections of the thesis. The second chapter analyses the literature regarding technology transfer. The most important models of technology transfer, its typology and sources are discussed. The general determinants of technology transfer are identified. This section also contains a discussion of the way in which technology transfer functions in the newest models of innovation, which makes it possible to find a multidimensional view of the problem in question. The third chapter focuses on the innovative activity of enterprises in Podlaskie Voivodeship and the determinants of technology transfer in this region. The analysis encompasses the levels of innovation and invention in Podlaskie's companies. The material gathered in the course of the research has allowed for conducting a qualitative and quantitative analysis of the determinants of technology transfer. This in turn has enabled the author to develop effective models of technology transfer which can be used in Podlaskie Voivodeship. Chapter four describes the innovations implemented in the studied companies of Podlaskie Voivodeship, classified according to the source of origin. Also discussed is a classification of the innovations that these companies created as a result of technology transfer, and their influence on the innovative activity of the analysed firms. Chapter five is devoted to the institutional factors of technology transfer and their role in the innovative activity of enterprises. An analysis is performed of the sources, models and channels of implemented technologies in the studied companies in Podlaskie Voivodeship. Also discussed are the factors behind the efficiency of internal and external technology transfer as well as the impact of internal technology transfer on the innovative potential of firms and the influence of external technology transfer on the opportunities to create innovation. Moreover, this chapter presents the barriers to technology transfer faced by the main actors of the process, such as enterprises, R&D entities, or state institutions. The purpose of the research and the analyses was to indicate ways in which these barriers can be overcome and to suggest the potential directions of change in the activity of entities participating in technology transfer. The conducted analysis confirms the main research hypothesis that technology transfer does have a bearing on the innovative activity of the enterprises in Podlaskie Voivodeship. The research outcomes also include a refined assessment of the influence of technology transfer on the particular areas of innovative activities pursued by the firms of Podlaskie.
