Abstract

This article examines the new closed form poems in Russian on the Internet (Runet), such as pirozhok and poroshok. We study the functioning of the new genres under the conditions of changing of the author’s and reader’s roles and the relationships. We analyze the latest trends of social communication, which led to rise of popularity of the studied genres. We distinguish the ancestry of pirozhok and poroshok, their formal and content-related specifics. We emphasize the game-playing nature of the new genres and analyze the spectrum of game-playing artistic devices at different language layers and even relevant to the design of a book. Attention is also given to such artistic features of those poems as ironic pathos, total deconstruction, imitating the conversational speech. Finally we evaluate the place of the new closed form poems in the literary process and their development prospects from axiological and esthetic points of view.
