Концепт машини у модерністському романі 20-х рр. ХХ ст.: компаративні аспекти

Abstract

This article analyzes the peculiarities of the ideological and aesthetic embodiment of the concept of a machine in Ukrainian and Russian novels of the first third of the twentieth century in comparative aspects on the basis of the works by Gordij Brasyuk, Yuri Olesha, Andrei Platonov, Konstantin Paustovsky. In particular, it was established that the concept of a machine appears to be a bright marker of ideological and aesthetic search of the 1920s, that embodies a wide range of ideas: from mechanisms that improves human soul to infernal machine in the novel "Chevengur" by A. Platonov; from a man-machine to a bizarre invisible machine that sends madness in the novel "Envy" by Y.Olesha; from cast-iron Commander who dies because of his own invention while confronting the man of art in the novel "Donna Anna" by G. Brasyuk to the harmony between technology and poetry, mechanism and lyrical literary works in the novel "Shining clouds" by K. Paustovsky.
