dc.description.abstract	When making comparisons of the new Marine Code from September 18, 2001 (Dz.U. nr 158, poz. 1545) to the previous regulation from December 1, 1961, it is obvious that the new regulation defines precisely a lot of provisions and complies new provisions that are in force within the international sea navigation. Despite the facts, there are some doubts on taking over within the new Code some ideas and expressions from the Act of 1961. The most important questionable issue is the usage of the German terminology, despite existing Polish equivalents (i.e. “fracht”) and usage of the German cargo shipment construction. Another controversial matter is the tone of art. 9 § 2 and art. 201 of the Marine Code.	pl
