Abstract

If time is to shape the law, fi rst it has to be recognized by law. This article undertakes the issue of legislating the measurement of time. It shall focus on the granting of a binding force to calendars and to the clock of time itself and, in particular, on imposing global application of the Gregorian Calendar. Then the two following matters shall be considered: the time limits of a binding force of law and how the passage of time affects rights not exercised.
