| Abstrakt: | The presented article deals with the subject of literary and painting values of folk motives. The article also indicates the presence of common threads in Lithuanian and Polish folklore. Folk stories about the stack published by Wandalin Szukiewicz appear in the works of artists associated with the Lithuanian tradition (e.g. Kazimiera Iłłakowiczówna), or with artists who referred to folk tradition, e.g. Stanisław Wyspiański. The folk themes of the hairy haystack, the night demon also return in the work of Karol Irzykowski, a writer using the intertextual connections of literature and philosophy. Irzykowski is a writer of the culture, his works contain interesting references to Georg Simmels philosophy. The hairy pole becomes a metaphor for the nations defeats, a harbinger of catastrophes in the pre-war poetry of Kazimierz Wierzyński. Literature that uses folk motives allows you to understand the surrounding world and allows us to determine the place of man in the world (theses of Wolfgang Iser). |
