    dc.description.abstractThe article focuses on the analysis of the manner of presenting scientific achievements and machines that was popular in the era of Romanticism, i.e. the narrative based on the poetics of the technological sublime. The second main area of focus is the question what functional changes were applied to the motifs borrowed from the narrative of science popularisation, i.e. what non-scientific content were they used to expressed when they became popular motifs?pl
