Badania nad światopoglądem działaczek stowarzyszeń kobiecych regionu północnowschodniego

Abstract

The presented results were obtained from the survey study carried out in 1981 in the north-eastern region of Poland. The survey concerned the population of 1592 women-activists of the Polish Women's League and the Country Housewives' Circles examined by means of a questionnaire technique. The activist's type of personality is of great importance in social work, i.e. whether she represents a dogmatically religious and traditional type or a laic and modern one. The latter type, relating to the socialist morality, will permit to work out the recommended patterns of personality, whereas the former, being close to petit bourgeois morality, will disturb to carry on this mission. Thus, what are the examined women-activists? It can be observed that the respondents' attitudes towards religion are in the process of evolution from the deeply religious to laic ones. Laic autoidentifications and acts of desistance from religious practices are not frequent yet, however the respondents' occurring doubts in the matters of religion and their strongly indicated attitudes of subjectivity give evidence of the evolution in their religious attitudes.
