Abstract

The lecture presents the new building of the University Library focusing on the practical project and the work of the new functional segments. ft presents the concept of the separatio n of different parts of the collection and the introduction of free access as well as the us age of the UKD classification in locating the collection. ft discusses the informational and promotional activity. ft points to the architectural and functional solutions as regards the adjustment of the building to the needs of the disabled.
