Autor wyjaśnia kontekst, w jakim powstały, przedstawia ich wady i zalety oraz rozważa kwestię uniwersalności każdej z nich. | pl |

It features a presentation and discussion of concepts (including typologies) of adaptation to isolation in prison, which have appeared in the literature over the years, namely concepts by: Leon Rabinowicz, Vladimir Pirozhkov, Donald Clemmer, Gresham Sykes, Erving Goffman, John Irwin, Stanley Cohen and Laurie Taylor, Roy King and Kenneth Elliot as well as Ben Crewe.
