| dc.description.abstract | The paper presents the process of development and transformation of the upper Swedish nobility in the early modern time (16th-18th centuries) and an important role played by this group. The process was not homogeneous and evolved in time. Another issue presented herein was to determine participation of the upper Swedish nobility in the exercise of power in Sweden, which was connected with the performance of different roles and functions in the state service but also with regard to horne affairs, especially the nobility's influence on the Swedish political system. | pl |
