Abstract

In my paper I would like to emphasize traditional feature of a family and a role of a mother in shaping and cultivaling that. I also would like to underline the impossibility of keeping those bonds in the migration context and in today's culture of individualism. I have been interested in the evolution of women- mother's attitude and in their tasks in family. In that period of time mother was the first protector, tutor, patron of a child. Mother took care of children and other members in family, she helped them, she guaranteed the positive atmosphere at home, took care of safety in wide context. It was very significant that mother appealed common traditions, experiences in the process of socialization. Mother is still connected with such features as: love, sensitivity, tenderness, hope, devotion, feeling of safety, responsibility, care, homeliness, etc. So this subject is up to date because of the civilization risks. It is important to look for educational models in tradition. Nowadays there aren' t multigenerational families in which, like old days little girls had learnt in a natural way how to become a mother. A lot of mothers feel lonely, can't cope with their parental role, moreover they feel frustrated. So, in this context it is important to rememher traditional values like: cult of work, cult of soil, strong family bonds. I used in my research such sources as newspapers, diaries, fiction in thcses described periods.
