Abstract

The following article addresses the issue of the cemetery, as a medium of social and cultural meanings. The aim of research is to analyze how the cemetery space reflects social relations between differing religious groups in terms that inhabit a common territory and whether there are practices that emphasize the differences between them blur(?) within this space. The objects of the research are two Catholic-Orthodox cemeteries: rural Królowy Most and urban in Starosielce (district of Bialystok).
