„Ależ tutaj są nerwy!” O emocjach na olimpijskiej strzelnicy w Rio de Janeiro

Abstract

This article presents emotions on the Olympic shooting range during finaIs of competition of the Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro. Emotive vocabulary, which appeared frequently during the most important shooting competitions from the last four years reported by Jarosław Idzi, was described on the basis of transcription of the material from the television broadcast. The emotions of the shooters, fans, coaches, and journalists were described. Adjectives and adverbs bearing the emotional value, as well as exclamations, and rhetorical questions used by the commentator when relating on final shootings were discussed. Attention was paid to national stereotypes, and the metaphor of game, and struggle that appear in the statements. Excerpts of text in which the word emotion appeared itself are also indicated.
