Abstract

The author analyses internet users' comments which could be found below internet articles on a high-profile case of a sixty-year-old Polish actress who gave birth to twins in 2015. The paper is devoted to linguistic means of assessing the case protagonist - and further: geriatric motherhood, which were used in the internet comments below the journalistic articles covering the topic. The author's ascertainments concern the references between judgements and emotions included in the comments, and further verbal aggression. The conducted analyses as well as the register of linguistic characteristics of the said phenomena indicate a multi -dimensional nature of internet users' verbal activities. Moreover, the observed instances of communication behavior are relativized to characteristics of the environment in which they occurred.
