Miasta naznaczone uczuciami - Pawłomorsk, Odessa i Paryż w Czaszce w czaszce Piotra Wojciechowskiego

Abstract

The aim of the paper is to perform analysis of image of three cities: Paris, Pawłomorsk and Odessa in which the main character of Piotr Wojciechowski's novel Czaszka w czaszce (A skull in a skull) ( 1970) Dymitr Lazur has relationships with women. The cities' character and its type of space have a significant influence over Lazur's relationship with women. Lazur's emotion connected with Lelija, Daria and the wife of captain le Naun also have an influence over the way in which he sees this three cities. Pawłomorsk is a happy place, in spite of the fact that Dymitr meets and then loses Lelija during the harbor's blockade. Paris is the capital ofthe world which arouses the emotional chaos where Dymitr instead of meeting his wife has an affair with captain le Naun's wife. Odessa - when we speak about Dymitr's emotion - is a safe place. This harbar reminds Dymitr Pawłomorsk and his relationship with Lelija. Wojciechowski connects specific type of space with Łazur's emotions and relationships using literature's ability of creating. He also reshapes Odessas myth making the new possibilities of its interpretation.
