Abstract

Marusya is too strong a position of all Ukrainian prose, which is born in the stream of traditions and at the same time renews them, adapting to the development of national canons of art and their coordination with the needs of the reader, awakening receptive activity, emotionality, hidden resources of perception. Writing a text becomes a socially and nationally significant act, because it is a consistent proof of the suitability of the Ukrainian language for the creation of new prose with a pronounced analytical component. The breakdown of textual integrity into segments of “ordinary, gentle, intelligent and useful”, departure from the ready, stereotypical word kotlyareshchina, attempts to accurately and accurately convey the emotional touches of the “inner man” intensified reader activity and opened channels of communication with the work and its author. In Serdeshnaya Oksana the structure of personality is embodied in the combinatorics of sensitivity and sociality. All the time, these two plans go hand in hand, intersecting and creating unexpected forms of psychological analysis and causing changes in the architecture of the character. Against the background of the more idyllic Marusya, the epic balance is immediately disturbed, because the meeting of Oksana and the captain is a meeting of the socially unequal, the distance between which is increasing by injecting contrasting opposition relations in the work. The concept of cordiality concretizes and objectifies spontaneous bursts of emotionality and enables their interpretation from the position of the people’s soul, which lives not by the rules of sober calculations, but immerses itself in its own depths, in its own self, filled with unconscious subtle movements.
