Reporterskie spotkanie Zygmunta Glogera i Henryka Sienkiewicza w Puszczy Białowieskiej

Abstract

The article shows, in a comparative way, the relationship between the journalistic image of Białowieża Forest by Henryk Sienkiewicz and the monographic, erudite image described by Zygmunt Gloger. Adamek-Świechowska compares the two, at first glance seemingly different pictures of wilderness, trying to find similarities in their content, such as the vividness and realism of the phenomena described. The affinities between Gloger and Sienkiewicz are also found in the presentation of unique natural phenomena, which results – in both cases – from identical sensitivity to its charms.
