Abstract

The paper presents issues related to the life of Lemkos in the multicultural society of western Poland. The author acquaints us with the issue by introducing Lemkos. She indicates historical aspects of Lemkos’ appearance in western Poland, describing, among other things, the course of the Operation Vistula. Finally, she illustrates life in the multicultural community of Lemkos and Poles citing Lemkos’ opinions. This refers to both Lemkos’ arrival in the western lands of Poland and changes that have taken place in relations between both nationalities up to date.
