| Abstrakt: | The term “poetics of the abroad”, reformulating the category of borderland, is a collection of tools with which to describe the conventions in the newest Polish emigrational prose. Treating the concept of an ”abroad” as a dimension of post-modernity allows a new analysis of the identity of the personas represented in those works, and their migratory openness to experiencing “foreignness”. It highlight also the transformation in the existing perception of emigration and of what constitutes emigrant condition. |
