Традиции театра Дель-Арт в творчестве А. Н. Вертинского

Abstract

This paper examines the traditions of commedia-art in the works of A. N. Vertinsky. In the early twentieth century commedia-art was reborn and as a tribute to the fashion, the Russian poet plunged into the theater. Many of the creators of the time often resorted to the use of images in their works of theater dell’arte (A. Blok, A. Akhmatova) and A. N. Vertinsky was not an exception. Mask becomes an integral part of the theatrical culture of that period and the central image in the art world of the poet's early period. At the early stage, Pierrot, Columbine and Harlequin are the central images. In emigration and post emigration periods, they become typical, however, they retain their original meaning of the comedy dell’arte. Thus, the origins of his work are found in the medieval theater, and, as the successor of its traditions, he creates a unique world in his work.
