Abstract

During the Great Millennium Novena cardinal Stefan Wyszyński along with the entire Catholic Church in Poland paid particular attention to the issues of marriage, family, and education. lt is worth noticing that it is the concern for the family that occupies the central part in his thought and teaching, along with defending the dignity of man as well as the biological continuity and the cultural identity of the nation. Not only does Wyszyński approach the family in its theological, pastoral, and historical aspect, but he also firmly highlights the family's social aims and tasks in the post-war Polish reality. In this work the author shows the Christian model of family education based on the teaching of Primate Stefan Wyszyński during the Great Millennium Novena.
