Женские обазы в творчестве Виктора Пелевина

Abstract

Selected female characters, created by Victor Pelevin, are the subject of an analysis in this paper. The article contains a short description of basic characteristics of the following heroines: Nika (the story Nika - a collection of stories The BIue Lantern, 1991), Anna (the novel Buddha's LittIe Finger (Chapayev and Void), 1996), Muse (the novel Numbers as part of the book DTP INNI. The DiaIectics of the Transition Period from Nowhere into No Place, 2003). In the paper the main attention was paid to the heroine of the novel The Sacred Book of the Werewolf (2004). A Huli is an eternally young vixen-woman (werefox). She is one of an ancient and magical race who have passed unnoticed in the world of man for millennia. A Huli is over two-thousand years old and uses her abilities (she can induce hallucinations) to work as a prostitute. The main purpose of the paper is to present the literary-cultural origins of the heroine. There is the complicated creation, in which we can find references to Chinese mythology, to Russian folklore, allusions to famous works of Russian literature.
