Abstrakt: The article discusses why humans cannot be angels. It begins by offering a simple answer that humans cannot be angels because they are human, but the author delves deeper into the subject. The author explores the distinction between humans and angels and the implications of Pascal’s maxim: “Man is neither an angel nor a beast; the unhappiness lies in the fact that whoever wishes to be an angel often becomes a beast.” The article argues that this maxim reveals much about human nature and condition. The article discusses how the modern era’s pursuit of cognitive absolutism further detaches humans from their true nature and realities. This detach-ment, along with an anthropocentric vision of mastery over nature, results in unforeseen consequences such as the recent pandemic. The article warns against ignoring human limitations while also advocating for a balanced view of human potential. Ultimately, it suggests that the desire to transcend human nature can lead to a loss of self-awareness and a distorted perspective on the relationship between humans, nature, and the divine.

Tytuł: Co św. Tomasz z Akwinu miałby do powiedzenia o sztucznej inteligencji?
Autorzy: Trzęsicki, Kazimierz
Abstrakt: The article examines what views Saint Thomas Aquinas might have had on the topic of artificial intelligence. While the question may seem paradoxical, the author discusses the connections between theology, science, and tech-nology. The article emphasizes that the idea of artificial intelligence has roots in ancient times and addresses ethical issues related to its use.
Okiem teologa na dialog fizyki z wiarą

Tytuł: Okiem teologa na dialog fizyki z wiarą
Autorzy: Proniewski, Andrzej
Abstrakt: The subject of analysis presented in the article Through the Theologian’s Eye on the Dialogue between Physics and Faith refers to the promotion of arguments justifying the need for a relationship between faith and science. An outline from the history of mutual references to issues at the level of physics and faith at the turn of the twentieth and twenty-first centuries, as well as a reflection on the connection in the present between these areas of life, is an attempt to provide positive motives for maintaining openness to the mutual complementary functioning of a rational man who wants to read scientific truths about the Universe and maintain the condition of faith in God.
