Studia interdyscyplinarne Redaktor(rzy): Ławski, Jarosław; Occheli, Wera Abstrakt: Niniejsza monografia prezentuje studia i szkice powstałe w ramach polsko-gruzińskiej współpracy naukowej prowadzonej od 2014 roku przez Uniwersytet im. Akakiego Ceretelego w Kutaisi oraz Uniwersytet w Białymstoku. W ramach tej współpracy badacze białostoccy wzięli m.in. udział w kongresie pod nazwą International Multidysciplinary Conference „The Humanities in the Age of Globalization”, Kutaisi, 1–2 November 2019. Z kolei badacze gruzińscy opracowali nową edycję przekładu na język gruziński Pana Tadeusza Adama Mickiewcza (Białystok – Kutaisi 2022). Kolejnym etapem współpracy była sesja zorganizowana przez uczonych z Polski i Gruzji Międzynarodowa Interdyscyplinarna Konferencja Naukowa „Dialog kultury gruzińskiej i polskiej w XIX i XX wieku. Literatura – język – historia”. W formule online odbyła się ona w sobotę 8 maja 2021 roku równocześnie w Białymstoku i Kutaisi. Obrady koordynowano z centrum, które znajdowało się w Książnicy Podlaskiej im. Łukasza Górnickiego w Białymstoku, posiadającej odpowiedni sprzęt do prowadzenia tego typu sesji. Organizatorami sesji byli: Katedra Badań Filologicznych „Wschód – Zachód” UwB oraz Wydział Nauk Humanistycznych Państwowego Uniwersytetu im. Akakiego Ceretelego w Kutaisi (Gruzja). Inicjatorami współpracy i spotkania byli prof. Wera Occheli (Kutaisi) i prof. Jarosław Ławski (Białystok), którzy przewodniczyli Komitetowi Organizacyjnemu. Uczeni podjęli następujące zagadnienia badawcze: Polsko-gruzińskie związki literackie na przestrzeni wieków. Językowe aspekty kontaktów gruzińsko-polskich. Komparatystyczne ujęcie relacji gruzińsko-polskich. Nowe ujęcia metodologiczne kontaktów interkulturowych. Historyczne konteksty polsko-gruzińskich relacji kulturalnych. Kaukaz w literaturze polskiej i literaturach słowiańskich. W projekcie wzięło udział 19 badaczy z Polski, Gruzji, Litwy i Wielkiej Brytanii. W prezentowanym tomie zgromadzono studia wygłoszone podczas owej Konferencji i nadesłane do tomu. Zostały one zaprezentowane w czterech rozdziałach: I. W dawnej Gruzji; II. Polska w Gruzji, Gruzja w Polsce; III. W języku, przekładzie, obrazie; IV. Kulturowe dopowiedzenia. Tom zredagowali: prof. Wera Occheli, slawistka i polonistka Uniwersytetu w Kutaisi, oraz prof. Jarosław Ławski, kierownik Katedry Badań Filologicznych „Wschód – Zachód” Uniwersytetu w Białymstoku. Monografię sfinansowano z projektu Ministerstwa Edukacji i Nauki „Regionalne Inicjatywa Doskonałości” realizowanego w latach 2018–2022 na Wydziale Filozoficznym Uniwersytetu w Białymstoku w dyscyplinach naukowych językoznawstwo i literaturoznawstwo. Monografia jest pierwszym polsko-gruzińskim projektem zrealizowanym we współpracy uniwersytetów w Kutaisi i Białymstoku. Kontynuację badań przewidziano w 2022 roku.; This monograph presents studies and sketches written as part of the Polish-Georgian scientific cooperation project conducted since 2014 by the Akaki Tsereteli State University in Kutaisi and the University of Białystok. Under the project, researchers from Białystok took part in the International Multidisciplinary Conference “The Humanities in the Age of Globalization”, Kutaisi, 1–2 November 2019. In turn, researchers from Georgia developed a new edition of the Georgian translation of Adam Mickiewicz’s Pan Tadeusz (Białystok - Kutaisi 2022). The next stage of cooperation was a session organised by scholars from Poland and Georgia, the International Interdisciplinary Scientifi c Conference “Dialogue of Georgian and Polish Cultures in the 19th and 20th Centuries. Literature - Language - History”. The conference was held on Saturday 8 May 2021 in an online form, simultaneously in Białystok and Kutaisi. It was coordinated by Łukasz Górnicki Library Książnica Podlaska in Białystok, which has the appropriate equipment to host this type of sessions. The session was organised by: Department of Philological Research “East - West” of the University of Białystok and the Faculty of Humanities of Akaki Ceretele State University (Georgia). The initiators of the cooperation project and the meeting were Prof. Vera Otskheli (Kutaisi) and Prof. Jarosław Ławski (Białystok), who chaired the Organising Committee. The scholars addressed the following research issues: Polish-Georgian literary relations over the centuries. Linguistic aspects of Georgian-Polish contacts. Comparative approach to Georgian-Polish relations. New methodological approaches to intercultural contacts. Historical contexts of Polish-Georgian cultural relations. The Caucasus in Polish and Slavic literatures. Nineteen researchers from Poland, Georgia, Lithuania and the United Kingdom participated in the project. This volume is a collection of papers submitted and presented during the Conference. They have been organised in four chapters: I. In old Georgia; II. Poland in Georgia, Georgia in Poland; III. Written in Language and Translation; IV. Cultural elaborations. The volume was edited by Prof. Vera Otskheli, researcher of Slavic and Polish studies at the University of Kutaisi, and Prof. Jarosław Ławski, Head of the Department of Philological Research “East - West” at the University of Białystok. The monograph was funded by the Ministry of Education and Science under the project “Regional Initiative of Excellence” implemented in the years 2018–2022 at the Faculty of Philological Studies of the University of Białystok in the disciplines of linguistics and literary studies. The monograph is the first Polish-Georgian project carried out in cooperation between the universities of Kutaisi and Białystok. The research is to be continued in 2022. Akakiego Tseretelego zawiera bardzo bogate zbiory wczesnych druków i rzadkich publikacji bibliograficznych. Wiele z nich jest w języku angielskim, włoskim, polskim, rosyjskim. W rzadkich księgozbiorach znajdują się książki i czasopisma z okresu od XV do XIX wieku, obejmujące różnorodne tematy z zakresu humanistyki. Ten historyczny skarb nie został do tej pory zbadany. Naszą misją jest badanie, gromadzenie i przechowywanie materiałów dziedzictwa kulturowego oraz udostępnianie ich społeczeństwu.; The Library of Akaki Tsereteli State University contains a considerable collection of early printed books and rare bibliographic publications. Many of them are in English, Italian, Polish, Russian, and other languages. Rare books collections contain books and periodicals dating from the 15th to 19th century and cover a variety of subjects from the humanities. This ancient treasure has not been studied so far. The texts often idealize Georgia. They present it as an idyll, away from urban life. They also reproduce the myth of Polish-Georgian friendship. Some of them depict Georgia as a country from fantasy fiction, others concentrate on Georgian culture, especially Georgian cuisine. There is also a demythologizing narrative about patriarchal rules in Georgian society described as traditional and conservative, with gender inequality. This myth is constructed on similar images that make up the myth of Italy in European literature. In the article, Vail’s descriptions of Georgia were confronted with the model of the South presented as locus amoenus, and with Italy’s “black myth” (images of death, rotting, decay, etc.). The analysis shows that in the works of the Russian essayist we deal (analogically to the Italian theme) with both: a “positive” and “black” myth of Georgia (expressed through the theme of death and the problem of dictatorship).
