Abstrakt: The article presents selected issues related to an older person in the family. The issues at stake include: the importance of family for humans, mutual transfer of values and services between the generations, problems in relationships, the perception of seniors by society and the transformations of the modern family. The article also touches upon the problem of care for severely disabled elderly in the family environment. Presented were the cause of dependence, characteristics mentors and their overload problems and possible forms of assistance.</description>

Abstrakt: This article discusses selected issues of older people free time in Poland. The starting point of the discussion was to define the concept of old age. Then the problem of adaptation to old age was indicated and important issues concerning the activity of seniors were discussed. Moreover, the concept of leisure was defined and the factors determining recreational and leisure time activities of older people were characterized. The problem of education for leisure was also raised. The final part of the article includes references to the results of selected studies of discussed issues.</description>

Abstrakt: The problem of communication in relation between nurse and her patient seems to be pivotal in whole care process or help granted to ill persons. It’s a lot of things which can disturb process of communication. For example, new forms of communication in the world influence on communication between people in many different areas. Nowadays in new situations seems not to be appropriate to use more official forms like per Mister/ Miss. Knowledge of opinion persons’ who stay in hospital about adresses’ forms nurse to patient has influence on good relation during therapy. Inappropriate way of calling somebody nurse to patient depreciates recipient, it demonstrates advantage which is connected to occupation’s competence or patient’s age. Purpose of this research was knowledge of opinion’s aged patients, who use medical institutions, on the subject of the best adresses’ forms nurse to patient. Material&amp;methods. In this research took part 100 patients-seniors who was staying in medical institutions- hospitals and clinics in January 2015. The average age was 71,05 years. The metod of research was diagnostic survey, was carried out using questionnaires. The research tool was questionnaire done of own authorship. Statistical study was done with Chi-squared test (χ2) and V Cramer test. Results. The research proved that aged persons, while using medical institutions, accepted as the most a appropriate form: Mrs plus name and phrase: please madame. In most cases patients accept also form: Mrs plus surname (e.g. Mrs Kowalska) and Mrs plus diminutive of name, but they don’t accept caressing forms like: honey, darling etc. and phrase like: grandma, grandpa. Patients expect nurse introduce yourself before starting their job.</description>
