Media i polityka w Rosji. Stan badań nad zaufaniem Rosjan do mediów

Tytuł: Media i polityka w Rosji. Stan badań nad zaufaniem Rosjan do mediów
Autorzy: Goworko-Składanek, Beata
Abstrakt: Television is very popular in Russia. Almost 90% of Russians learn about the world around them from TV. Although more and more Russians doubt the objectivity of the news programs, it doesn’t affect its popularity in a significant way. It should be emphasized that Central Television enjoys a high level of trust. In principle, Russians do not trust the foreign media and are reluctant to watch independent channels. It means that they do not try to verify the information provided by Central Television. This situation and the lack of interest in alternative distribution channels of information are conducive to maintaining the current political system.

Tytuł: Lutz Bachmann – lider Pegidy i jego wizerunek w prasie niemieckiej
Autorzy: Macała, Jarosław
Abstrakt: The phenomenon of the anti-Islam, radically rightist Protest movement Pegida continues to gain interest of German media. The German establishment considers slogans and activity of Pegida a shame for the country, and a threat for their own position. The media in Germany creates negative image of this movement. It is defined as extremist, nationalist, xenophobic or pro-Nazi. As it threatens human’s rights, freedom and democracy, which are the foundations of the German state. The image of the leader of Pegida is a result of the negative reception of the movement in the media in Germany. Lutz Bachmann, the leader of Pegida is connected with the credibility of the movement. Hence, the media show him as antipathetic, untrustworthy, an extremist and a Nazi. Weskening the image of Bachmann will weaken the power of the movement.

Polska i Polacy w opiniach prasy litewskiej na przełomie XX i XXI w.

Tytuł: Polska i Polacy w opiniach prasy litewskiej na przełomie XX i XXI w.
Autorzy: Buchowski, Krzysztof
Abstrakt: The article is dedicated to the image of Poland and Poles presented in selected Lithuanian papers in the years 1991–2016. The subject of the research were primarily the opinion-forming, high-circulation daily papers: “Lietuvos Rytas”, “Respublika”, “Lietuvos Aidas” and “Lietuvos Žinios”, and also the most influential magazine “Veidas”, as well as the publications on the Internet portal delfi.lt. In the years 1991–1993 the dominating image of Poles and Poland was negative. The apology for the occupation of Vilnius in 1920 was demanded. The attitude of the Polish minority in Lithuania was adversely perceived. The image started to change in 1994 after signing the Polish-Lithuanian international treaty. At the turn of the 20th and 21st centuries Poland was described as the main international Lithuanian partner since Poland supported the Lithuanian efforts to become the member of NATO and the European Union. The most positive attitudes were visible in the publications from the years 2004-2008, when Poland and Lithuania cooperated intensively as the USA allies. After 2008 the Polish-Lithuanian relations deteriorated. The image of Poland and Poles declined. The activity of the Polish Minister of Foreign Affairs Radosław Sikorski was evaluated very negatively.

Tytuł: Wybory parlamentarne i wybory do rad narodowych w Polskiej Rzeczpospolitej Ludowej na łamach „Kobiety i Życia” (do 1989 roku)
Autorzy: Ćwik, Urszula
Abstrakt: The purpose of this article is to present the issues related to the parliamentary elections and elections for national councils in light of the “Kobieta i Życie”. About 570 editions of the magazine have been analysed for the purpose of this article. The analysis covers the editions from the following years: 1961, 1965, 1969, 1972, 1973, 1976, 1978, 1980, 1984, 1985 and 1988 when parlamentary elections as well as elections to National Councils were held. Although political issues were just a small part of all the material published in the pages of the magazine, election news articles are numerous enough to be divided into several types, e.g. informative or mentioning the problem of lov participation of women in public life.
