Tytuł: Pęknięcia w Sieci, czyli przestrzenie aktywowania postaw cynicznych przez użytkowników Internetu
Autorzy: Więch, Karol
Abstrakt: The aim of this article is to represent the Internet as a means in enabling the realisation of the cynical approach. The structure of the Web composed of knots, links and transfers includes so called “meshes”, the empty spaces where positive human interactions do not exist. Metaphorically speaking, the „ruptures” of the Web constitute practices manifested in hate speech, armchair criticism and judgment of others. These dysfunctional actions however, consolidate the virtual community of cynics. One of the most common strategies for creating „ruptures” and boundaries on the Internet is labelling groups of people as simpletons. Classifying into what is cultured and what is low class appears to be a problem beyond the virtual world. The Internet, which is providing the right to anonymity, allows for an extension of the cynical approach, which is progressively reduced in the real world.

Tytuł: Sound studies. Badania na stykach
Autorzy: Misiak, Tomasz
Abstrakt: For several years, you can see great interest in the sound issues in contemporary culture. Created research demands the “sound studies”. As these investigations are conducted? What do they pay attention? What is the philosophical and methodological basis? These questions point out first of all referring to a proposal by Jonathan Sterne, and other researchers who see the need for a broad reflection on the role of sound in contemporary culture.

Tytuł: Dylematy badań etnograficznych na styku kultur lokalnych i społeczności sieciowych
Autorzy: Pisarek, Adam
Abstrakt: We, the netnographers of the Network, the hunters and gatherers of urls and engines, scents and figures, gazes and captures. (...) Our wiring is interactive, our DNA tribal. As cyborgs, we increasingly plug into networks to connect” – this manifesto ends Robert Kozinet’s handbook on internet qualitative research. Quoted passage suggests that Doing Ethnographic Research Online is another work, which complicates analysis and interpretation of the processes taking place at the crossroads of local cultures and virtual communities. But in fact Kozinet’s proposal is one of the first complete guides that present research methods useful in collecting data on the intersections of “cosmopolite” media interface and chosen locality.
