    <description>Tytu&amp;#322;: Semantyka wybranych liczb w kulturze ludowej mieszkańców wsi
Autorzy: Wójtowicz, Magdalena
Abstrakt: The purpose of this article is to present the semantics and functions of numbers in folk culture. The analysis and interpretation of numeral operations include&#xD;
counting and measuring, binary opposition and parity, parity and the number three&#xD;
and seven. The article is largely based on field research conducted by the author&#xD;
and other source materials in the context of Slavic. The emphasis is placed on&#xD;
universal and distinctive elements of the symbolism of numbers.

    <title>Staroserbska kultura w kategoriach Latinitas i Cyrillianitas</title>
    <link>http://hdl.handle.net/11320/957</link>
    <description>Tytu&amp;#322;: Staroserbska kultura w kategoriach Latinitas i Cyrillianitas
Autorzy: Lis-Wielgosz, Izabela
Abstrakt: This paper presents a definition of Old-Serbian culture in the categories of&#xD;
Latinitas and Cyrillianitas, and indicates, on the one hand, the problem of incoherence, difficulties in relation to, not only, one category, but also to the whole&#xD;
terminological repertoire. There is no concept in the repertoire which can become&#xD;
an unambiguous and exclusive evidence of a definite cultural system or a collection&#xD;
of cultural systems; on the other hand the paper is an attempt at referring these&#xD;
categories to a description of a specific case. The presentation of Old-Serbian culture&#xD;
by means of both categories shows its specific status of functioning “between”,&#xD;
“toward” and “over” the circles of civilisation, cultural centres and traditions.

    <title>Zachować dla przyszłości. Kolekcja XIX-wiecznych haftów ruskich w zbiorach Muzeum Narodowego w Krakowie</title>

    <description>Tytu&amp;#322;: Zachować dla przyszłości. Kolekcja XIX-wiecznych haftów ruskich w zbiorach Muzeum Narodowego w Krakowie
Autorzy: Lebet-Minakowska, Anna
Abstrakt: The Textile Department of the National Museum in Cracow preserves a collection of Boyko embroidery originated from the village of Tarnawa Wyżna (on the&#xD;
San River). The pieces were acquired by the museum at the end of the19th century,&#xD;
just after they were being made. Some of them were given by Basil Sołłohub, the&#xD;
local parson. Boykos, who used to live in Poland for centuries, no longer exist as&#xD;
a distinct ethnographic group; there are only the remains of their material culture&#xD;
that are preserved in museums. The collection of embroidered pieces of garment,&#xD;
acquired from the Boykos themselves when they were still thriving is an important&#xD;
sign of their art.
