Abstrakt: The publication aim is to familiarize the concept of education for culture and report how it is understood among cultural animators and educators in the Podlasie region, Poland. The article presents academic definitions of education for culture, similarities and differences between this concept and other terms, such as cultural education, intercultural education and multicultural education. Furthermore, it presents the ways of defining the concept of education for culture by people involved in the cultural activities in Podlasie region. Comparison of these perspectives shows the specifics of local cultural animators and educators – their ideas, aspirations and problems. Apparently, their definitions are varied by the type of institution they represent, still, the most common way of defining education for culture is conservative, close to the definition of cultural education.</description>

Abstrakt: The main goal of the article is indication the need of intercultural education in a local society. In the paper is discussed an example of Sejny – the small city in north-east part of Poland. Despite of long, common history of two different social groups, living in the same city – Poles and Lithuanians – there is a need of collaboration on the field of intercultural education. The discussion is based on the theoretical considerations and research which was conducted in 2015 in Sejny within the project of National Center of Culture – „Dom Kultury + Inicjatywy Lokalne 2015.</description>

Abstrakt: The main reason for this article is analysis the problems and risks connected with functioning youth in modern world, with particular reference to the educator’s role in forming identity of the young generation. In connection with described situation large meaning has the change in the functioning people and world, connected with changing the role of family in upbringing, the loss of existing authorities and omnipresent in young people’s life media and popular culture. Essential element is educators’ actions which should help young people cope with challenges which they will have because of changes in our dynamical world. This is why very important factor is knowing their experiences in context of their challenges, risks or consequences connected with upbringing the youngest generation.</description>

Abstrakt: Web sites over time turn into complex, content-presenting and informative content with additional functionalities that facilitate interaction with the user by allowing him to either comment or access content regardless of the device on which the user is working.Communication efficiency and popularity are built with new content presentation technologies and a whole range of attributes and functionality offered by these technologies.In this article I will try to present how schools handle the adaptation of the whole range of availabletools. I will point out places that the school seems to ignore or skip. User-oriented design,usability and accessibility are the criteria by which we are happy to visit websites and we come back to them.The question we can ask whether the school can use the potential of new technologies?</description>
