This article analyzes the transliteration of the Cyrillic alphabet of the Macedonian language into the Latin alphabet in online communication. The aim of the study is to determine the degree of divergence between the codified standard and actual language usage in the digital space. The research material consists of posts and comments by users of the Facebook social network, excerpted on the basis of deviations from the
normative rules of transliteration. Analysis of the material revealed a predominance of errors involving the omission of diacritical marks, incorrect transliteration of phonemes characteristic of the Macedonian language, and the mixing of different transliteration systems within a single utterance.
