    <title>Bioetyka a wiara</title>
    <link>http://hdl.handle.net/11320/1226</link>
    <description>Tytu&amp;#322;: Bioetyka a wiara
Autorzy: Wróbel, Józef
Abstrakt: The problem of a relation between bioethics and faith is complex when it&#xD;
refers to Christian religion. It begins on the plane of the relationship between&#xD;
philosophy and Christian philosophy, more exactly, of the disputable question&#xD;
whether philosophy can have a Christian character. In the light of methodological&#xD;
principles, philosophy (the natural one) seems to exclude religious&#xD;
motives in advance. A similar problem can be observed in the field of ethics. In&#xD;
its proper sense, it is a philosophical science (as has been stated in the above&#xD;
definitions of bioethics). If so, ethics is, in its wrong sense, a form of moral&#xD;
theology, as it has occurred in the so-called ‘theological ethics’ being the field&#xD;
of research of some authors.

    <description>Tytu&amp;#322;: Eutanazja jako fałszywe miłosierdzie
Autorzy: Skreczko, Adam
Abstrakt: Euthanasis is sometimes perceived as an act of mercy, and this view is also&#xD;
shared by many Christians. They say it is justified when it arises due to mercy,&#xD;
love of a neighbour, care and sympathy one feels while looking at the sufferings&#xD;
of a person. That is why it is necessary to distingush euthanasia from mercy.&#xD;
This concerns not only non-believers who do not analyse the issue, but also the&#xD;
Christians who treat the Church’s teaching selectively and are driven by false&#xD;
views. In the title of the article, euthanasia is defined as an act of false mercy.&#xD;
The author focuses on the following problems: a) Manipulating terminology&#xD;
concerning the problem, b) Is euthanasia ’good death’? c) The need for the&#xD;
’imagination of mercy’, d) the proper understanding of mercy in the context&#xD;
of euthanasia.

    <title>Personalistyczny normatyw bioetyki</title>
    <link>http://hdl.handle.net/11320/1223</link>
    <description>Tytu&amp;#322;: Personalistyczny normatyw bioetyki
Autorzy: Zabielski, Józef
Abstrakt: A fundamental assumption of a personalistic concept of bioethics is respecting&#xD;
a person as a goal of an action, not a mean to achieve it. This concept comes&#xD;
down to a truth that value and dignity of a person is the basis of every ethical&#xD;
obligations towards a human being. Such understanding of dignity leads to&#xD;
concrete obligations, such as respecting the autonomy of human existence&#xD;
and the value of life, an obligation to act ‘within the field of responsibility’,&#xD;
respecting the good of concrete persons and human society. Such a personalistic&#xD;
norm is particularly meaningful for all actions relating to man’s health&#xD;
and life. The problem signalled in the title of the article has been discussed&#xD;
with particular regard to two issues 1) a personalistic norm as an axiologicalexistential&#xD;
determiner of bioethics, 2) personalistic demands/requirements&#xD;
concerning human health and life.
