Modern achievements in the field of theory and practice of teaching foreign languages to this contingent are analyzed. The importance of creative approach and the actuality of this problem are emphasized. Extensive social-psychological description of adults is given. Intellectual functions of adults (thinking, attention, memory) are analyzed in detail. In conclusion, conditions and recommendations necessary for achieving the required aims and success in teaching foreign languages to this group of students are enumerated.; Praca poświęcona jest wybranemu zagadnieniu andragogiki – nauczaniu – języków obcych osób dorosłych. Analizowane są dotychczasowe dokonania w zakresie teorii i praktyki nauczania języków obcych dorosłych oraz podkreśla się ważność i aktualność tego zagadnienia. Dana jest obszerna charakterystyka socjalno-psychologiczna osób dorosłych. Szczegółowo analizowane są intelektualne funkcje dorosłych (myślenie, uwaga, pamięć). W zakończeniu podane są warunki i rekomendacje niezbędne dla osiągnięcia zamierzonego sukcesu przy edukacji obcojęzycznej tej populacji „uczniów”.

Tytuł: Особенности изображения руки св. Иоанна Дамаскина в текстах художественной литературы Autorzy: Anchimiuk, Olga; Заика, Владимир Иванович Abstrakt: The article discusses the characteristics of the description of the saint appearance in literature, referring to the hand and description of the hand of Saint John of Damascus. The hand is the part of body related to the miracle that happened to the saint. By comparing the use of the word hand, changes of name and deduced from the context signs of the hand in the poems of A.K. Tolstoy “John of Damascus” (1859) and the novel of the same title by N. Agafonov (2009) it was found that in the poem the number of uses of the word hand and references to the hand is scanty, and for the full perception of context information it is necessary to know the history of the saint’s life. The prose is full of descriptions and references to the hand. All circumstances of his life are described in detail and thus they provide the complete image of Saint John of Damascus. Literature, whose main subject is the saint, is a special case of the aesthetic realization of the language. Means of expression provide the reader with the conditions to strengthen his faith.; W artykule omówiono cechy charakterystyczne opisu wyglądu świętego w literaturze pięknej na przykładzie wzmiankowania o ręce i opisu ręki świętego Jana z Damaszku, części ciała, związanej z cudem¸ który wydarzył się świętemu. Na podstawie porównania zastosowania słowa ręka¸ zmian nazwy i wnioskowanych z kontekstu oznaczeń ręki w poematach A. K. Tołstoja „Jan z Damaszku” (1859) i powieści o tym samym tytule N. Agafonova (2009) stwierdzono, że w utworze poetyckim ilość użyć wyrazu ręka i wzmiankowania o ręce jest znikoma, a dla pełnego postrzegania wnioskowanej z kontekstu informacji konieczna jest znajomość historii życia świętego. Tekst prozatorski obfituje w opisy i wzmiankowania o ręce, są w nim szczegółowo opisane wszystkie okoliczności życia i tym samym zapewniają one kompletność wizerunku św. Jana z Damaszku. Literatura piękna, której głównym przedmiotem przedstawienia jest święty, jest szczególnym przypadkiem estetycznej realizacji języka. Środki wyrazu zapewniają czytelnikowi warunki przeżywania, żeby wzmocnić jego wiarę.
