The sense of the word can be explored in the context, which is now common knownledge. In this article we intend to make a brief review of some linguistic and philosophical approaches emphasizing the role of environment in the meaning of a lexical unit (F. de Saussure, N. A. Chomsky, G. Frege, Z . Harris, M. Gross, G. Gross). Then, we make an attempt to determine how the context of use brings out the exact meaning, which thus affects its translation, how the invariant meaning is activated in the context and how current dictionaries propose to describe this type of data. We also focus on the analysis based on the object oriented approaches which can take into account the linguistic information often overlooked in language dictionaries. The analysis is based on the example
of the verb quitter FR/quitar ES.2015-01-01T00:00:00ZSelected issues of nominalizations as propositional arguments in Polish and Slovene sentences with psych-verbsZatorska, Agnieszkahttp://hdl.handle.net/11320/46952021-06-11T11:05:03Z2015-01-01T00:00:00ZTytuł: Selected issues of nominalizations as propositional arguments in Polish and Slovene sentences with psych-verbs

Oba badane języki wykazują znaczące podobieństwo odnośnie skali dopuszczalności nominalizacji.; In this paper a hypothesis concerning the occurrence of nominalizations in the position of the propositional argument assigned by a psychological predicate was tested with sets of 60 (30 + 30) Polish and Slovene verbs from the semantic field of thinking and feeling. In line with Semantic Syntax Methodology, the semantic and the syntactic (formal) levels of representation were separated. Predicates and arguments are elements of the Predicate-Argument Structure on the semantic level of representation. The observations demonstrate that the typical way of the realization of the propositional argument in the place opened by Psych Verbs, in the place of complex predicates, is nominalization. Such a manner of explication covers 90% of the tested 2- and 3-argument verbal units in Polish and Slovene from the field of the intellect as well as emotions. The analysis shows that only 10% of the examined verbs in each language (Polish and Slovene) do not allow the realization of the propositional argument as nominalization. The results in this respect are similar in Polish and in Slovene.2015-01-01T00:00:00ZUn fait linguistique propre à l’oral : La répétition de mot dans l’interaction verbaleYilmaz, Selimhttp://hdl.handle.net/11320/46942021-06-11T11:03:17Z2015-01-01T00:00:00ZTytuł: Un fait linguistique propre à l’oral : La répétition de mot dans l’interaction verbale

In this research, we propose to analyze the phenomenon of “word repetition” which is realized in the discursive exchange in contemporary spoken French. This will involve the repetitions of grammatical words that Morel and Danon-Boileau (1998) define as “functional words” (fr. mots outils) under the spontaneous oral French. The main objective of this research is to find answers to the following questions, and thus to highlight the salient points of this discursive fact which is repetition of functional words (word tools): a) What is the enunciative status of the phenomenon of repetition in verbal interaction? b) In which situation of enunciation the speaker uses the repetition?2015-01-01T00:00:00ZLa force persuasive et le discours des campagnes sociétalesWoch, Agnieszkahttp://hdl.handle.net/11320/46932021-06-11T11:01:11Z2015-01-01T00:00:00ZTytuł: La force persuasive et le discours des campagnes sociétales

The present article aims at analysing the persuasive strategies that the authors of the social campaigns use in order to change the opinions and attitude of their audiences. The scope of the article is to examine the persuasive force of the words used in the slogans of the social campaigns as well as the evocative power of the images on the posters and videos. For this, it will focus on the three objectives of the persuasive discourse, i.e. teaching, pleasing and touching the audience, and examine them in the context of social campaigns that use fear and provocation to achieve their aims. The analysis is based on a corpus of slogans, posters and videos of French, Polish and Italian social campaigns.2015-01-01T00:00:00Z
