Tytuł: Uwarunkowania prawne nadzoru nad lasami niestanowiącymi własności Skarbu Państwa Autorzy: Ziemblicki, Mateusz H. Abstrakt: The aim of this study is to comment on the administrative supervision over private forests in Poland, as well to analyze legal issues concerning this supervision. The role of private forests in Poland is really significant (ca. 19% of Polish forests are private). Unfortunately, in comparison to national forests, the majority of them are neglected. This situation is influenced by many factors including: the avidity of owners, disintegration, not enough care and improper as well as incomplete supervision. Malfunctioning supervision is typically a result of insufficient financial resources. In addition, where the supervision is conducted by forest managers, formal-legal ambiguities may arise. The range and efficacy of supervision can be expanded by allocating more funds and making adjustments in current legal regulations. These actions should improve the status of private forests and also increase their anticipated role in sustainable development.

Tytuł: Natura 2000 jako działanie na rzecz zrównoważonego rozwoju Autorzy: Radziwon, Ilona Abstrakt: Nature protection in the form of the Natura 2000 network has undoubtedly had an infl uenced on sustainable development. The author presents some of the problems that can arise when considered in the context of European and Polish regulations, having regard to the functioning of the Natura 2000 sites. Also presented are the advantages and disadvantages of this form of conservation. The content of this paper seeks to answer the question of whether a ‘golden’ medium can be found between the Natura 2000 form of nature conservation and economic development of the sites covered. This work aims to show that it is possible to do business in Natura 2000 areas consistent with the principle of sustainable development.

Tytuł: Regulacje dotyczące usług odbierania odpadów komunalnych świadczonych przez przedsiębiorców na gruncie ustawy o utrzymaniu czystości i porządku w gminach Autorzy: Pieniak, Anna Abstrakt: The amended act of 1 July 2011 introducing changes to the act on maintaining cleanliness and order in municipalities and to some other acts, amounted to significant alterations in the waste management system. One of them concerns amendment to the regulation of economic activity in regards to the collection of municipal waste. Thus the permission for the aforementioned services has been replaced by the obligation to obtain entry to the Record Book of Economic Activities. This solution undoubtedly benefits entrepreneurs since the procedures which led to the administrative decision are no longer required. The aim of the article is therefore to discuss the conditions of undertaking and performing the activities by entrepreneurs in regards to the collection of municipal waste on the basis of entry to the Record Book of Economic Activities.
