Abstrakt: The article contains a short summary of women's presence in science fiction genre. As the author suggests, it is impossible to isolate the problem, just because women were present in the genre from its very beginning, following the requirement of creating a complex fictitious world. The possible world does always involve or imply an image of sex and gender, even if an imagined society is genderless. And sometimes the creation becomes very bold, because science fiction seems to be subversive in its nature. It should be noted, that there is distinction between women writing science fiction and the image of women in science fiction genre. Feminism is the crucial movement when it comes to the analysis of both aspects.

Abstrakt: The essential constitutive components of the phenomenon of Glamour are an escape from mediocrity and transformation in pursuit of the ideał of beauty. Transformation and styling as the key symbols of glamour express the idea that "everyone can become a better version of themselves': The culturally stable Cinderella myth is the embodiment of glamour style metamorphosis. It's central promises are: "you can be exceptional" and "life can be wonderful': Glamour is not so much external, as internal transformation. It's a process of becoming better, more beautiful, closer to perfection, mainly through hard - albeit secret - work. The author's goal is to present the basic methods of female transformation performed not through magical or divine powers, but through know-how. The presentation is based on two on-line fashion and life style guides: Styl. fm and wikiHowlnc.
