Abstrakt: The typological aspect of Russian and Belarusian dramatic art research in the end of ХХ and the beginning of ХХI centuries remains actual and prior in modern literary criticism. The focus of the article is the chronotope in the plays, which is built at the junction of two aesthetic systems, realism and modernism. As the example we considered plays by Belarusian (The sinking house by E. Popova, The Gerda by A. Karelin, Salvage works on the shore of an imaginary sea by K. Steshik, Real by A. Kureychik) and Russian (Seminar at the sea by M. Arbatova, Sushi, or the Triumph O. Kuchkina, Tragedians and comedians by V. Arro, ...Sorry by A. Galin) authors.
Taking as an example E. Popova’s (who is one of the leading Belarusian (Russianspeaking) writers) and M. Arbatova’s (being the former representative of a “new wave” of Russian dramatic art) plays, we will try to single out the general and various in their plays, having paid attention to a problem of the time-space.

Abstrakt: For a long period the author's attention is focused on one of the most relevant socio-philosophical theories of the XX century – the concept of “mass society”. The article examines the philosophical and literary origins of this concept and the peculiarities of its refraction in the Russian and Belarusian Russian-language literature in the last part of the XX and beginning of the XXI century. Philosophers and writers
are particularly interested in the problem of the increasing influence of the “mass society” trends on a particular person and the world as a whole. Three leading writers – Vl. Makanin, A. Korolev and A. Andreev in their texts explore the life of a man who was influenced by the “mass society” philosophy, research modern social trends and individual transformations due to the socio-political restructuring of the Russianspeaking world under the influence of programs and standards of consumer society. A. Korolev and V. Makanin propose as the dominant the concept of the heroinhabitant, “medium / small”, mass man, considering it from a philosophical point of view – the ideas of existentialism; all characters who stand out from the mass find themselves in the position of a minority. The dominant of A. Andreev's artistic world is a representative of the elite, the “smart man” or “new superfluous man”, genetically ascending to the classical literary type of “superfluous man”; the opposite type of character is drawn more widely, but much more critically and rigidly in comparison to Russian writers.

Abstrakt: The author traces the evolution of the Sublime idea and its introduction into European worldview as new esthetic and moral value, based on researches of Burke, Kant, Schiller, Hegel, and Kierkegaard. The author tries to answer the following questions: Why are the milestones shifted in art work evaluation? What is contemporary experience of the sublime and is it possible? How are new literary techniques contrary to traditional esthetic experience formed? Focusing toward negative anthropology experience (of Gulag and Oswiecim), using the example of prison camp prose the author demonstrates the ambivalence of the sublime (since its objects are dual). The apprehension of the Beautiful, of Good, of Order and of Sacrum, as well as experiences of Pain, Suffering, Violence, Humiliation and Horror, save from decay and elevate upon unbearableness of Existence, when by-gone experience becomes ideal ethical state of life. The author wonders if today literature is able to rise in quest of the sublime and touch the heights of philosophical reflection, and to express by-gone experience (of negative anthropology) not as accidental but as metaphysical and transcendental.
